What is the ICM517A?

The ICM517A is a Type 2 (load side) Surge Protective Device (SPD) designed to protect valuable single-phase equipment by dissipating momentary voltage spikes and transient power surges. The 517 is also equipped with a custom cast aluminum, NEMA 4X rated case so that the homeowner is assured their ICM517Awill endure severe surge conditions better than plastic while protecting their equipment and containing the surge within the enclosure. With 100,000’s of ICM517’s installed in the field, ICM stayed true to the rugged & reliable design of the existing “go to” SPD!
